  1. Shape Shifting Facts emerged from research into the visual language of flags. For this work, I selected shapes and symbols derived from several flags and ceremonial banners. These elements are then abstracted and recreated as independent forms in recycled plexiglass and painted wood. The resulting components come together in a spatial installation that hangs as a mobile, allowing visitors to move through the work and experience continuously shifting compositions and viewpoints. Flexible in scale and configuration, the installation functions as a mutable carrier of identity, which is open to encounter, plurality, and change.
